Join us on Friday, December 6th for our annual Festa del Tartufo and for the “1990’s” retrospective. We will celebrate this year’s bounty of white truffles and examine a decade of wines that changed the Langhe hills forever. Each savory course features two Barolo or Barbaresco from a different year, allowing us to see the differences in vintage, terroir, wine making techniques, and producer.

The Roaring 90’s
The 90’s provided Barolo and Barbaresco’s of perfect balance, subtlety and power, elegance and presence. The wines are ageing beautifully, and many are starting to enter their second life, which seems like an excellent excuse to add white truffles to the mix and pop a bunch of corks!
The region saw a stylistic battle between producers that caught the world’s attention and cemented many as household names. The tug of war stemmed from those trying to preserve what had made Barolo and Barbaresco distinctive and the innovators who pushed new bounds. Ultimately, the 90’s forever changed the way the region was perceived.
